ReplyDelete1. I don't know exactly how many homeless people are in Japan, but I think the number is less than other countries.
ReplyDeleteMisa said that she thought that the number of homeless people might be less than in other countries. That's been my perception too, but I wonder if we believe there to be fewer homeless people because the homeless in Japan are less "in your face". They generally don't "panhandle" for money and they mind their own business. In my hometown of San Francisco, they can be quite aggressive and get angry if they are not given money. It can seem more like a demand than a request when asked for money by the homeless in the States.
